Meet the Founder

Hello and welcome! I'm Pernilla, the heart and soul behind Mimmo. It's a delight to have you here. Since our launch in July 2022, Mimmo has been embraced with open arms, and we are deeply thankful for the love and support we've received.

A little about my journey:

Born and raised in Sweden as the eldest of three sisters, my upbringing was steeped in the Waldorf philosophy. This fostered an appreciation for wooden toys, imaginative play, and wholesome food. My adventurous spirit led me to Los Angeles at the age of 20, where I fell head over heels for the city's emphasis on health and organic produce.

The birth of my daughter Emma in 2014, who had multiple health concerns, steered me towards seeking out the best, cleanest products for her. While there were many commendable toy brands, I struggled to find allergen-free, clean play dough.

This led to the creation of Mimmo Dough, a labor of love that involved extensive research into ingredients. We take pride in our sensory dough recipe which boasts organic, natural, vegan and nut-free ingredients. The colors are derived from food-grade fruit and veggie powders, most of which are organic, and even our glitter is biodegradable. Our commitment to the environment extends to our packaging as well, with compostable Mimmo cups.

But that's not all! Our Mimmo Bubbles line offers a 3-in-1 bath & body wash product that's just as committed to non-toxic, child-friendly fun. We're excited to share that we have several more products under development, all with the aim of creating an ecosystem of childhood essentials that bring a dash of magic into everyday life.
